The Inverness Courier has recognised an information evening held at Raigmore Hospital aimed at those interested in becoming living donors.

The event was attended by living donor recipients, live donors, and members of the Living Donor Team. People who attended the event found information about life on the waiting list, the process of becoming a live donor, and the benefits from live organ donation for recipients.

Living donor kidneys tend to function faster and better and last longer than a kidney from a donor who has died.
